I'm sure y'all remember a search engine by the name of AskJeeves which facilitated poor search-engine technique by encouraging users to phrase their queries as natural language questions.
Well, if the HTTP referrer fields of some of my readers are any indication, some people are still trapped in the AskJeeves paradigm 8 years later. Every so often, however, when Google is asked a question it spits this little page back as a response. Given the situation, I feel like posting answers is the decent thing to do.
1) Greetings to 173.4.118.xxx from Reston, VA who asks Google: "will american government and public administration always be reactionary?"
Answer: They will if I have anything to say about it.
2) Howdy to 72.42.208.xxx from Spring, TX who asks Google: "why is the thought of authority distasteful today?"
Answer: I'm honestly surprised that this one didn't send you [here] or [here], 72.42.208.xxx . In any case, I'm inclined to lay the blame at the fact that parents no longer beat their children enough.
3) Magandang umaga to 124.105.176.xxx from the Philippines, who asks Yahoo: "why is there reaction on veneration without understanding?"
Answer: Because the State, the Media, and the Market all despise veneration. This may in fact be precisely because it implies that there might be something more important than the State, the Media, or the Market.
That's all for this episode of AskTRE. Keep those Google queries coming!
